S-Video Cables
S-video cables provide video transmission of two separate feeds in a single cable. This puts the quality of transmission between the one-channel composite video cables and the multiple-channel component video cables. The cable handles standard definition video feeds. As with most other video cables, it does not carry audio signals. The history of this cabling goes back to the 1980s, but it only gained popularity in the past 15 years or so.
The most common connector on an S-video cable is the four-pin mini-DIN. However, there are other standards on the market including the 7-pin and the BNC connectors. If your video setup requires S-video cables, you need to know the length of cabling you need. We carry lengths going from 3 feet up to 100 feet. This gives you flexibility in your setup. Some come combined with stereo audio cabling to give you all the components necessary for most video/audio setups.
