Cat 6 Network Cables
Cat 6 network cables offer high-speed data transmissions that the older Cat 5 and Cat 3 standards cannot. Many offices are starting to upgrade their cabling to this new standard, as they want to upgrade to Gigabit Ethernet capabilities. The Cat 6 standards are backwards compatible with the Cat 5 and Cat 3 standards. It uses the same wiring and cabling. The main difference comes in the insulation which helps the cable prevent cross talk on higher frequencies.
At higher speeds, the length of Cat 6 network cables has a maximum length of 180 feet. However, the emerging Cat 6a standard is working through this issue. We offer these network cables in lengths ranging from 1.5 feet to 50 feet. As with the Cat 5 cables, we also offer a range of colors to help with cable management.
